Theresa McLaren

Theresa's first experience of yoga was at a local gym amidst the chaos of clanking weight-lifting equipment. She fell in love with the practice as she moved to a cozy studio in Northern California and found yoga a great compliment to her Zen meditation practice. She loves the ability of yoga to help the body find balance and stability, ease and movement in tandem with breath, using both practices to settle and calm the mind.
 

Theresa completed her 200-hour yoga teacher certification at Live Well Studio in Vinyasa and Hatha yoga and completed an additional Pilates mat training. She teaches flow yoga, Pilates and core classes; her classes blend a little of each concept, with the addition of fun and joy. Classes are accessible to all levels, yet challenging, leaving you enlivened and renewed.

Brianne LaBauve

"What IS yoga" is a question I find myself asking daily. I learned a simple concentration practice in 2005 that lead to a daily meditation practice and studying of various spiritual texts. I began a improvisational dance practice around the same time and until about two years ago danced five days a week. I love movement, I love meditation and found a synchronicity of the two as I began practicing yoga regularly six years ago. My Asana teachers have been Pamela Maldenado in Northern California, Shiva Rea in Los Angeles and Elan Adams in Denham Springs, Louisiana. I received my 200-hr. teacher certification in Vinyasa Flow a year and a half ago in Louisiana and hope to share the vividness, passion and rejuvenation that I have discovered on the mat. My teaching style incorporates my roots in Ashtanga yoga, a new-found interest in Anusara yoga, and the fluidity and grace learned from years of dancing. I strive to meet students wherever they are at, with presence, commitment and love, and ultimately hope to serve as a guide to the teacher within.

Lisa Wells

Co-owner, Lisa Wells, PhD, ERYT500, teaches yoga, pilates, core, meditation, trauma-release and 'Making Peace with Your Body' in addition to co-managing the studio . Her 25+ years of yoga practice have taught her patience, humility and happiness. Lisa has been teaching yoga since 2000. She received her PhD in Geology from Stanford University and in her current incarnation as yoga teacher has been called 'a geographer of the body.' Lisa's yoga classes are for your whole being, as she believes there is no separation between body, mind and spirit.  Her philosophy is grounded in the primacy of love.

Katelin Gallagher

I’ve been engaged with contemplative practice (yoga and meditation) for well over a decade, and have taught for the last seven years…each passing day, month, and year brings me into deeper relationship with the practice, myself, and others. Yoga teaches me to unravel the intricacies of my heart… and when I think I’ve reached some end point… it guides me to a new corner that requires some work. My hatha yoga practice teaches me to pay attention to my body… that there is much to be learned from this body, and that the body is a gateway to presence, wisdom and love. I am grateful to have studied Hatha Yoga with the most masterful Kira Ryder, Lisa Wells, Darren Rhodes, and Christina Sell, and I study meditation, yoga philosophy, and Tibetan Buddhism with my Holy Guides: Kimberley Theresa, Mira Shani, Jarret Levine, and Douglas Veenhoff. My meditation practice teaches me of the profundity of the mind, attention, dreams -- William James says it concisely, "For the moment, what we attend to is reality." Pilates is an exercise form that focuses on developing core strength, flexibility and grace. This class is mix of standing and floor exercises and is cued with options for beginning to advanced level students.
