Keisha Rose Harrison

Keisha was first introduced to yoga in 2011 after sustaining a running injury. She was looking for a low-impact way to simultaneously challenge and rejuvenate her body. After taking her first class, Keisha never looked back. She was immediately drawn to the rewarding qualities that yoga had brought her. A regular practice brought her closer to understanding how to better use her body and mind to navigate through space.

A lover a learning, Keisha has experience in the following forms of yoga: Baptiste, Hatha, Kemetic, Hot, Power and Vinyasa Flow. She tries to keep her classes adaptive and incorporate a mix of elements from this variety to fit the needs of her students. Keisha believes that health is wealth, and to that mental health cannot be achieved without physical health. She hopes to help others beginning or continuing their practice to embrace all the salubrious facets that yoga has to offer.

Shelby Walker

Shelby began practicing yoga nearly 15 years ago as a way to manage stress in day-to-day life in Washington DC. She went on to complete her RYT 200 at Mind the Mat Yoga and Pilates studio in Alexandria, VA in 2014. Shelby has been teaching yoga since 2015. She has been expanding her learning by completing a 10 month meditation immersion course offered at Live Well, and is now venturing into pilates instruction. She strives for balance between the mind, body, and spirit in her classes and life. When not practicing yoga or pilates, she is out on the coast, walking her dog, or settling down with a good book.

Kristen Edge

Kristen received her RYT 200 in the thin air of Flagstaff, AZ in 2016. She has studied vinyasa flow, ashtanga, and has primarily focused on alignment and physical safety. Kristen's practice, and what she brings to her classes, is strongly influenced by her desire that people find their inner teacher. To stay safe and experience the full range of yogic benefits, she has found that one must know oneself and respect what the body does or does not accept. As a competitive person by nature, yoga has helped her release some of those dangerous compulsions to sacrifice the body and mind. She brings meditation, intentional flow sequencing, and breath awareness to her teaching, where she welcomes students of all levels.

Brianne LaBauve

"What IS yoga" is a question I find myself asking daily. I learned a simple concentration practice in 2005 that lead to a daily meditation practice and studying of various spiritual texts. I began a improvisational dance practice around the same time and until about two years ago danced five days a week. I love movement, I love meditation and found a synchronicity of the two as I began practicing yoga regularly six years ago. My Asana teachers have been Pamela Maldenado in Northern California, Shiva Rea in Los Angeles and Elan Adams in Denham Springs, Louisiana. I received my 200-hr. teacher certification in Vinyasa Flow a year and a half ago in Louisiana and hope to share the vividness, passion and rejuvenation that I have discovered on the mat. My teaching style incorporates my roots in Ashtanga yoga, a new-found interest in Anusara yoga, and the fluidity and grace learned from years of dancing. I strive to meet students wherever they are at, with presence, commitment and love, and ultimately hope to serve as a guide to the teacher within.
Community Yoga is Yoga for everyone! A yoga practice of posture, breathing, and relaxation that improves overall health and well being. Rotating teachers, often from the Live Well Studio teacher training program. $7, no one turned away for lack of funds.
