Flow Yoga ~ Level 2

This class is taught by:

Jocelyn Fultz

Practicing for nearly 20 years, Jocelyn brings a vibrant sense of playfulness to her classes. A yoga teacher since 2010, with training in Dance, Theatre, Martial Arts, and Massage Therapy, she uses her multifaceted experience to guide students on a fun and exploratory asana practice. She is a formal student of Rishi Maha Mandaleshwar Sri Shambhavananda Yogi, or Babaji (as his students call him), and thanks her sangha all across the country for supporting her daily yogic practice. Jocelyn is an RYT-500 with Yoga Alliance through the Shambhava School of Yoga.

Katelin Gallagher

I’ve been engaged with contemplative practice (yoga and meditation) for well over a decade, and have taught for the last seven years…each passing day, month, and year brings me into deeper relationship with the practice, myself, and others. Yoga teaches me to unravel the intricacies of my heart… and when I think I’ve reached some end point… it guides me to a new corner that requires some work. My hatha yoga practice teaches me to pay attention to my body… that there is much to be learned from this body, and that the body is a gateway to presence, wisdom and love. I am grateful to have studied Hatha Yoga with the most masterful Kira Ryder, Lisa Wells, Darren Rhodes, and Christina Sell, and I study meditation, yoga philosophy, and Tibetan Buddhism with my Holy Guides: Kimberley Theresa, Mira Shani, Jarret Levine, and Douglas Veenhoff. My meditation practice teaches me of the profundity of the mind, attention, dreams -- William James says it concisely, "For the moment, what we attend to is reality." I am a Master's student at Oregon State University, where I study meditation/contemplative practices, Eastern philosophy, and psychology. View Kate's Website http://wisdomlotus.org

Brianne LaBauve

"What IS yoga" is a question I find myself asking daily. I learned a simple concentration practice in 2005 that lead to a daily meditation practice and studying of various spiritual texts. I began a improvisational dance practice around the same time and until about two years ago danced five days a week. I love movement, I love meditation and found a synchronicity of the two as I began practicing yoga regularly six years ago. My Asana teachers have been Pamela Maldenado in Northern California, Shiva Rea in Los Angeles and Elan Adams in Denham Springs, Louisiana. I received my 200-hr. teacher certification in Vinyasa Flow a year and a half ago in Louisiana and hope to share the vividness, passion and rejuvenation that I have discovered on the mat. My teaching style incorporates my roots in Ashtanga yoga, a new-found interest in Anusara yoga, and the fluidity and grace learned from years of dancing. I strive to meet students wherever they are at, with presence, commitment and love, and ultimately hope to serve as a guide to the teacher within.

Katie Zarajczyk

I love the yoga practice, the awareness, strength, knowledge, and healing that accompany it. If I am feeling out of balance or a little off in any area of my life, I find an answer on my mat. It gives me time to get quiet, get in tune with my spirit, and my heart. I took my first class in 2003 and quickly fell in love. The simple but profound action of showing up, becoming present with the breath and letting go has truly changed my life. The mind, body, spirit connection I have found continues to deepen my understanding on and off the mat. My practice and my classes are a creative process for me, allowing me to further explore the connection that keeps me coming back. Every breath, every practice provides opportunity for a completely new experience, I hope to stay open to that possibility, and encourage others to do the same. I hope that any fellow yogi who finds my class will feel comfortable and at ease, free to explore their own individual process and their body as it is that day.

Alissa Rickborn

Alissa began practicing yoga in 2007 as a way to repair her body from years of competitive swimming. Coming from a sports background, Alissa was naturally drawn to the athleticism and challenge of ashtanga, vinyasa, and aerial yoga. In 2014, Alissa moved to Corvallis, OR and soon after completed her 200 hour teacher taining at Live Well Studio and her aerial yoga instructor training at 4 Elements yoga in McMinnville, OR. At Live Well, she teaches flow yoga that incorporates elements from ashtanga, dance, and hatha yoga practices. Alissa hopes to share the practice that has healed her body and helped deepen her understanding of herself. When shes not in the studio you can find Alissa surfing, rock climbing, or working towards her PhD in Biology at Oregon State.

Amy Singh

As a teacher, Amy is committed to an ongoing refinement of her teaching style and skills in order to meet the needs of her students. By providing a balance of effort and ease, students have a chance to discover and reflect on the potent parts of their practice. This balance gives Amy’s classes a focus on strength and stability with a nurturing undercurrent. Yoga has been tool for Amy as her body and soul have changed and shifted with the ebbs and flows of life’s tide. Yoga acts as the compass that gently guides her into new territory. During a class with Amy you can anticipate the opportunity to play and explore yoga asana and movements as well as finding a moment of calm and stillness in the beautiful chaos of life. Amy completed her 200 Hour training at Live Well Studio.

Flow yoga (level 2) synchronizes movement with breath as yoga postures flow from one to the next. The Level 2 class moves at a faster pace and assumes that the students are aware of basic yoga asana and are able to adapt poses for their body's strengths and weaknesses. Class will include inversions and arm balances along with sun salutes, standing poses, back bends, forward bends, meditation and relaxation. Advanced asana will be taught. Meditation and savasana bound the practice.
