Martha Christy Shimeall, MS, RYT 200, LFYP level1 is a LifeForce yoga practitioner registered through Yoga Alliance. In understanding the human being as an integrated body-mind system that functions optimally when a state of balance is present, Martha uses yoga as a tool to a assist in attaining balanced health. Within each class, asana (poses), pranyama (breath control), meditation, and mindfulness practices are taught and practiced. Martha's teaching style is influenced by her on-going practice of Inyengar yoga, Buddhist meditation, and wellness psychology and is driven by a love of assisting her students in experiencing a settling calm and stillness in mind and body.

Navigating Stress & Anxiety with Yoga
Developing connection with ourselves and others can help us operate from a place of kindness and ease. Join Martha in an 8 week yoga journey as she presents a refreshing blend of Eastern yoga practices and an evidence-based mindfulness model that help to address physical and mental challenges. Each 90 minute class will offer a blend of pranayama (breath practice), meditation, posture and brief discussions to support practice throughout the week.
