I have been practicing yoga for 16 years and teaching for 5.5 years. I have traveled to Rishikesh
India in the foothills of the Himalayas twice in the last two years with my current teacher Kia
Miller. I have sat in satsang with Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji at Parmarth Niketan next to the
beautiful Ganga. I have sat with Swami Pujya at the fire ceremony next to the shores of Ganga.
I have hundreds of teaching and training hours. After receiving my 200hr certification from Core Power
Yoga in 2012, I have continued my yoga training. I have attended workshops with Christina Sell,
Kathryn Budig, Tiffany Cruikshank, Edwin Bryant, and Lisa Mae Osborn of the Bhaktishop. I will complete my 500 hr Yoga alliance certification in spring of 2018. I will be
trained by Living Yoga in September in trauma informed yoga.
I have been following my heart through the shadow land to find a truth that could liberate me
from my self defeating behaviors, thoughts and behaviors. Kundalini Yoga has allowed me to
experience a personal intimacy with my yoga practice and with my self that has translated to a
stronger more resilient state of being.
In the casting of the shadow, in the light of the morning, in the rough and the soft, there is a
pulse, a beat like thunder, a rhythm that calls the sleeping self to rise.
The illumined Self is eclipsed only by a brief encounter of the darkened night and still even
in the sleep of illusion we can feel the intensity of our Radiant Body.
