All Bodies Dance

All bodies are invited to join us as we explore movement using the forms of Dance Improvisation.  These forms are not choreography, instead we use ‘scores’: movement suggestions that give us greater opportunities to find more creativity in our bodies and our movements. They also give us a unique opportunity to profoundly connect with each other. It is this connection that forms the richness of the experience. Movement scores give us freedom by inviting us quickly into The Flow: ”a complete immersion into creative activity, typified by focused self-motivation, positive emotional valence, and loss of self-consciousness.”  The mental state that is achieved during flow allows us to transcend our self-critical mind and find our most genuine self.  All Bodies is an exploration of dance for play, for pleasure, for sport, for health, for love, for anger, for fear, for elation, for transformation. All Bodies welcome! No fees, donations to cover costs gladly accepted.

Chair Yoga provides the benefits of yoga to all bodies and is well suited to those with medical or physical limitations. Feldenkrais

The Feldenkrais Method is a remarkable approach to movement, learning and change. The Method is based on principles of physics, neurology, physiology and the martial arts. Clients are slowly and gently moved in ways that deeply influence their musculoskeletal organization at a neurological level, emphasizing the conditions under which the nervous system learns best. Through these lessons, overall functioning improves, a sense of well-being develops, and problems diminish or resolve. Clients build their awareness toward sensing their own movement patterns, exploring new ways of moving, and integrating more choice into their movement habits. Appropriate for all levels, for those familiar with and new to Feldenkrais.
