Antigone Cook began teaching Dance Aerobics in 1983 when she was a college student. She graduated from college with a BA in Community Health and a Minor in Dance. She danced in a Jazz company for several years while teaching fitness and attaining an AA in Teaching Dance. Her passion for fitness led her to work with a variety of athletic clubs, developing wellness programs, lecturing and teaching. After having kids and moving to Corvallis, she settled into teaching pilates full-time.  In addition to group classes and private pilates instruction, Antigone also trains pilates instructors. Antigone holds pilates certifications through The PhysicalMind Institute as well as Personal Training and Instructor certifications through ACE (American Council on Exercise).

Antigone’s wellness path has included 12 years of ballet, 5 years of Jazz, 12 years of pilates, and 4 years of belly dance. Her expansive wellness practice has taught her acceptance and perseverance which is reflected in her teaching philosophy of “whole-body” wellness, developing the mind, body and spirit through movement.
