Angie is a teacher of many modalities, yoga, pilates, and Zumba! She’s been practicing and teaching for over seven years. When asked why she started teaching, Angie offered, “When I take a class in a discipline I like, I start dreaming about how I would like to share that information. Then I go build the class.”

“My practices take me beyond myself and this is the foundation of my teaching, to lead students beyond  barriers they set for themselves.”

Angie has an M.S. Degree. Her training includes STOTT Pilates, ‘Yoga Teacher Training’ (RYT 200) with Sarajoy Marsh, Amrita Yoga, ‘Tibetan Heart Yoga’, and ‘Classics of Yoga’ Training through Yoga Studies Institute.  She is currently enrolled in the Ayurvedic Healing Course through the American Institute of Vedic Studies.

Just for fun….

My favorite poses are…. Handstands, headstands, and other arm balances because they take me off my feet.

The pose I avoid or ‘forget’ to teach is… Standing balance poses. I have a flat left foot making these very difficult. In Pilates, one leg circles are a challenge as I have limited hip mobility.

I find inspiration….in deep autumn colors.

My ideal day looks like….early morning practice and calm countenance with my children.

When I was a kid….I was such a dreamer, always a bit lost in thought.

One of my favorite books is…The Red Tent, oh and The Secret Life of Bees

I’d like to visit…India and Egypt

People are surprised to learn I…..am the same persona teaching calm yoga and pilates and wild zumba. The term spilt personality has been used!
