Linda began practicing gentle yoga in 2005 in search of relief from chronic low back pain. She found relief, a passion for yoga, and a desire to teach and offer others the opportunity to heal themselves.

“I will always be a student of Yoga. I have come to appreciate the importance of tuning into my body regularly and of the celebration of the now. I have also started to be able to recognize some of my many attachments with an amused eye.”

As a teacher, “I would like Yoga to be accessible to all students in an environment that is safe, enjoyable and welcoming.  Within our community of yogis, I feel we each have something to offer and something to receive.”

Linda’s yoga training includes trainings at amrita: a sanctuary for yoga in Portland with Sarahjoy Marsh. She has over 200 hours in hatha yoga teacher training.

Just for fun….

My favorite pose is…

Supta Paddangusthasana is my favorite pose for so many reasons.

  1. my hamstrings are always tight
  2. it feels good!
  3. it allows me to quickly tune into my body
  4. it allows me to tune into my breath
  5. I gain a lot of information about my body

The pose I avoid or ‘forget’ to teach is… For me it is not so much a pose as the theme for my class that is “forgotten”. It is much easier for me to give directions for how to use proper alignment in poses than to talk about the theme upon which the sequence is built.
