Hatha Yoga ~ Level All

This class is taught by:

Olivia Heath

Olivia has loved yoga from the first time she stepped onto a mat at a Chicago Park District class in 2006. The majority of her practice has involved traditional hatha, vinyasa, and restorative styles. She has also practiced beginner Ashtanga and Forrest as well as Bikram and other heated styles of yoga. Olivia strives to achieve sthira (steadiness) and sukha (comfort) in her practice; alignment and modifications are top priorities in each pose. Classes she teaches are a creative and deliberate fusion of asana, pranayama, and mindfulness with some music and smiling mixed in too. The word Yoga means “to unite”, and Olivia loves connecting with others and sharing the experience of yoga! Off the mat, Olivia is an academic advisor at OSU and a Wellness Advocate for doTERRA essential oils. She enjoys cooking, coloring, volunteering, knitting, and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Khrystal Condon

An active equestrian, outdoor explorer, and DIYer, Khrystal took up a regular yoga practice to help balance and support an active, physical lifestyle. Khrystal received her 200 hour yoga teacher training certification with Live Well in May of 2018. She enjoys teaching gentle and restorative yoga classes that nurture the mind and body. She also believes in the power of personalized exercise, meditation, nutrition, self care and sleep. M.Ed., RYT 200

Nancy Rosenberger

I am a certified Pilates mat instructor and RYT 200 Yoga teacher. I received my Pilates mat training from Lisa Wells and Yoga training at Kripalu Institute from Brahmani Liebman and Jashoda Edmunds. Yoga and Pilates make me physically and spiritually available to the world—inner and outer. Having embarked on a retirement that specializes in right-brain activity, I take delight in sharing Pilates and Yoga with other people. My classes simultaneously relax and sharpen the body for increased mindful awareness. My teaching is influenced by my practice of Zen with teacher Seido Debra Martin of Zen West in Eugene and my career as a Professor of Anthropology at Oregon State University. I indulge myself with hikes, music, grandchildren, and travel spiced up with a dash of research.

Irene Schoppy

Irene Schoppy is a certified 500 hour Kripalu Yoga teacher. Irene's yoga classes include meditation and pranayama (breath awareness and control) in addition to yoga poses. She bring her love of nature and yoga philosophy into class with poems and readings. Irene studies meditation in the Thich Nhat Hanh tradition and attends a yearly silent retreat. Off the mat, Irene enjoys backpacking with her husband, gardening, cooking, and riding her bike around Corvallis.
Hatha yoga is the physical practice of yoga. This class encompasses yoga poses, breathwork, meditation, and relaxation. A variety of forms are used, including flowing yoga poses, static work where poses are held and alignment highlighted, restorative poses, gentle inversions, self-massage techniques and more. Use of props is encouraged and all levels from beginner to intermediate practitioners will benefit from this practice.
